The college rankings mentioned in this article are all based on the rankings provided by The National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF). The NIRF was approved by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) and inaugurated by the honourable minister of human resource development back in September 2015. Ever since 2016, they release a list of top universities across the country for all career streams, i.e., engineering, medical, dental, etc., every year.

MBBS course duration in India

The course duration of MBBS in India is almost 5½ years having one year of rotation internship. It is mandatory to complete the internship until student will not awarded as medical professional. The MBBS academic program lasts 4½ years and has a total of 9 semesters. NMC (National Medical Commission) is the only MBBS course certification body in India. The national Medical Commission is responsible for organizing/modifying MBBS courses in India.

 

MBBS Entrance Exam in India 2021

To get admission in MBBS or do any of the courses such as BDS, BVSc, UG AYUSH the medical aspirants need to appear in the NEET Exam (MBBS Entrance Exam). NEET is also known as National Eligibility cum Entrance Test conducted by NTA (National Testing Agency) for medical undergraduate program MBBS. To get admission in any private and government medical universities in India, a student must have a valid NEET Score.
