Helping kids succeed at distance learning in the age of COVID19

To be successful, distance learning requires the participation of many people, including instructors, students, and parents. The success of our children in remote education depends on our giving them our attention and comfort. One way to ease their minds is by giving them access to excellent study materials or IB resources like those offered by the website Tribe Topper, which is regarded as one of the finest IB has to offer. There are important things that adults may do to assist children as they learn to use distance learning effectively.   Supervision Keep a watch on your kids when they are completing their online studies. Younger students require a specialized timepiece since they aren't yet at the stage when they need to log in and out of courses, remember passwords, and adjust the camera to point directly at them rather than at their cat or dog. If they want help with technology or online education, their parents must be there to provide it. Young children do not need supervision until high school, but parents should keep an eye on them. It would be best if you didn't treat them with kid-like carelessness and leniency. When the children are grown, the mood of the parents often improves. Teenagers are old enough to grasp their responsibilities and are computer literate. However, it would be best if you kept an eye on them since they are terrible at keeping track of time. They may need additional encouragement to do things like get up early enough to log in for an online class. Teens can take a break from their screens if they feel too sleepy to pay attention in class. Parents must monitor their actions to prevent kids from being careless.   Keep a schedule. Juniors and teenagers can benefit from sticking to a routine that allows them to balance their time effectively between schoolwork and extracurricular activities. The best way to help kids of all ages manage their time is to set reasonable goals and clear expectations. They must schedule their studies, work, and food breaks accordingly. Take a little pause to eat some snacks and unwind to some music in the middle of your online lessons. Plan so that all of your top concerns can be met relatively quickly. Teachers may do their part in making the classroom a welcoming place by starting each day with a message to students. Teachers would greatly favor their pupils if they put up daily study schedules first thing in the morning. It's important to remember that the structure we study online will vary from the one we use in a traditional classroom. So that students don't miss out on anything, professors should give recordings of courses and be open to alternative scheduling arrangements.   Make it an enjoyable experience. In the same way that setting aside time to study is crucial, so too can engaging in fun activities that facilitate learning. A parent's assistance during homework time may turn it from a dreaded chore into a fun and productive time for their child to learn. Pretend play is a popular activity for children of preschool age and younger. Parents may adapt the games to make education more enjoyable. The older ones are at the stage of life when they want to intellectually be just like their peers. As a result, instruct students to poll their social circles on how they use their spare time and what kinds of things attract them. The students are encouraged to fill their leisure time with their peers. This motivates individuals to push themselves and compete with others. Our adolescent children have new opportunities for learning and application. As a result, they can put their theoretical understanding into practice. For example, holding an online group conversation about the current issue, giving their perspectives on specific choices, doing critical thinking about the challenges, etc., can help students think and explore their learning.   It's okay to seek assistance. You should seek help if your child is having difficulty in online learning. Teachers are always there to lend an ear, and sites like Tribe Topper provide comprehensive but user-friendly materials to help students pass the rigorous IB program with relative ease.

Common myths about Studying abroad

Studying Abroad is Expensive: General misconception: The general impression is that studying abroad could be unimaginably expensive, which might leave you drowning in an ocean of debt. Cost Vary as per Course: Although costs may vary depending on the type of university, courses, and the duration of the courses, it often deters students from pursuing their higher studies internationally. Scholarship: there are many universities that offer scholarships and financial aid, especially to foreign students in order to encourage them to study abroad. They also offer cheap accommodation in the form of shared dorms and other facilities within the campus, which can also help save money. Students just need to contact the relevant universities to inquire about the scholarship and financial aid programs before applying. So the answer to the question whether overseas education is an affordable option or not rests on you. The Language Barrier: That’s incorrect because any course can be taught through a global perspective. It was seen more in the past that most of the study abroad programs were related to humanities or languages; however, in recent times there has been an increase in the number of students opting for social sciences, engineering, math, sciences and business. Students feel the need to learn the native language of the country in which they want to study, and this may also be seen as a hurdle to studying abroad, since learning a new language is time-consuming. However, there are many international universities that offer their courses in English. Additionally, you can always inquire about the language prerequisites before applying, so that before the beginning of your course, you can learn the basics of the language with the help of audiobooks and language classes. You can also view this as a great opportunity to learn a new language. If you are not attuned to listening to foreign accents, you may find it initially difficult to comprehend what’s being said. But this is an easy problem to overcome. Take this as an opportunity for a new language or different English in a foreign country is an immense opportunity to enhance your linguistic proficiency. The most effective and fastest way to language learning is to acquire it in a natural context. Making Friends and Acquaintances Will Be Hard: Even before you realise, you’ll be part of your clique. Universities abroad recognize the need to make their international students feel at home. Schools make conscious attempts to promote healthy cultural exchange. This experience will be the cornerstone of your education, by influencing your personality and instilling in you a greater understanding of people outside your boundaries. You begin to appreciate the differences and diversity while harbouring a spirit of camaraderie. This myth about studying abroad is often one of the big reasons why people prefer to complete their studies nearer to their homes. While it may be easier for certain people to easily make friends wherever they go, there are still students that find it difficult to approach other people. Students get a chance to make new friends and acquaintances during orientations and team-building programs. Some universities also host a variety of programs that aim at connecting international students from all over the world, to make them feel more comfortable. Many universities have clubs, societies, and events for like-minded students to interact with other students and seniors. Studying Abroad is Safety issues: While some countries are safer than other countries, many international universities have a zero-tolerance policy toward harassment and bullying. These universities also have safety measures around their campus and also provide useful information that will help them in traveling safely or acquiring appropriate accommodation. With so many incidents happening all over the world, it’s quite certain that some parents become skeptical in sending their children abroad for education, but doing so doesn’t help either. Students should be open to fear, or for that matter, anything to face since they will be on their own in a foreign city. Many universities and colleges abroad conduct programs or crash courses for students on how to get around in a foreign city or town. You can either follow them or follow your heart, the choice is yours. Desired Major: This myth about studying abroad is often a result of misunderstanding and lack of research. Students can always enquire with the relevant foreign universities or seek educational consultants regarding the degrees and courses offered internationally, in order to gain more clarity about the choice of programs that are available. Sometimes there is an underlying confusion, names of the major and programs may differ, hence it is always better to check the syllabus before assuming that your desired program is not available. Studying Abroad May Lead to Delay in Graduation: courses taken at a foreign university can be cross-credited easily into your existing qualification, meaning you will graduate at the same time as you would have originally. Students also get the opportunity to study in advanced classes which may boost up their GPA, which may not be available in your local universities.  If you plan ahead and ensure that you fulfill all your credits on time, your graduation will not be delayed. In fact, recent findings show that graduation rates for those who studied abroad are 17.8% higher than those who didn’t.   Employers Don’t Value an International Degree: After globalization, students having international degrees are preferred by most businesses and employers. They want students who have professional degrees from recognized foreign universities because it adds more value to their company. Listing on your CV that you have spent time abroad shows employers that you can take risks, are independent, and can work with people from different backgrounds and cultures This is absolutely incorrect and we all know it! Employers are increasingly looking for individuals who can speak another language and work in a cross cultural environment. Simply mentioning your overseas education experience in your resume is not going to help you much; you will have to find ways to show the employer what you learned through your experience and the various skills you developed during the course duration. High GPAs Can Study Abroad: The myth that only students with high GPAs can study abroad has discouraged many students from pursuing their higher studies in foreign universities. though many international universities require students to have high GPAs to apply for their programs, there are still universities that have lower GPA requirements for students. This requirement may change from university to university. GPA is not the only deciding factor for some universities when it comes to accepting students. Certain universities also accept students on the basis of their GMAT or GRE scores and work/practical experience. Europe is the only destination: Students can choose to go to any country across the globe. As per the Open Doors Report, it was found that four of the top ten destinations featured are outside of Europe, which are: Australia, Costa Rica, China, and Argentina. Canada saw a massive surge in the number of international students owing to many reasons. Ireland is another destination that has been drawing a significant number of international students, and the figures are increasing since the ‘2 year stay back option for postgraduates’ was rolled out. Indian Students Get Neglected: Not True at All, Colleges Strive Towards Building an Inclusive Environment.  To a great extent, the media is responsible for creating a misunderstanding about Indians. At colleges, professors are more like mentors than teachers; very approachable and eager to help students resolve issues related to academics or otherwise. The education culture in foreign universities is based on the ideology of unhindered learning and creating a conducive educational ambiance. The school is familiar with our cultural uniqueness, and they are more than welcoming. You will be surprised at how wonderfully and spontaneously local students accept you and offer their assistance.

Do you need a degree or just YouTube to be a marketer today

What is Marketing? Marketing refers to activities a company undertakes to promote the buying or selling of a product or service. Marketing includes advertising, selling, and delivering products to consumers or other businesses. Some marketing is done by affiliates on behalf of a company. Marketing is an umbrella term used to describe the actions of a brand, service, entrepreneur, or anyone that needs to gather customers and promote their products. These actions are depicted in a marketing plan and involve the overall strategy, from attracting new prospective users to maintaining a healthy relationship. Since maintaining a healthy relationship with prospects is what marketing studies aims to teach the other majors, let’s go ahead and explore the exact ways in which marketing studies is important to all other fields. Advantages of Studying Marketing Regardless of the field you want to pursue, studying marketing can complete or bring new life to your career path. 1. Self-promotion and a more competitive skillset Marketing studies gives a unique competitive advantage: You can learn how to promote yourself and your work. After all, marketing studies helps you understand the true meaning of value: The value of the product and the value of the person or brand that delivers said product. While trying to make it as a young professional, standing out can be challenging; this is where marketing studies takes the lead. The set of skills you can develop while studying marketing can give you more confidence and turn you into a more in-demand professional that can present yourself and your product or service in a way nobody else can. Self-promotion is crucial to success. Therefore, through marketing studies, a young professional can understand the way competitors and already established professionals perceive value in their field and use that to their advantage to bring value to themselves and their skills. After all, marketing and marketing actions bring forth the standards that something - a product, a service, anything - needs to meet to be successful, and create better consumers. The same principle applies to professionals of any kind. 2. Consumer psychology knowledge Consumer psychology is the study of all the variants that influence a prospect's decision-making. Since young professionals "sell" their skills, a prospect can be anyone from a hiring manager to a classroom, if the person in question is a teacher - a career path that is as far away from marketing as possible, in everyone's mind. Prospects make decisions based on what they perceive as truth. A marketer in the making or someone that has studied marketing can figure out the reasons behind that decision-making process and go more in-depth, perhaps go beyond profit and help others truly flourish. Marketing studies can help you understand how prospects go about making decisions about a product or a service. These decisions are not based on the truth in and of itself, but a version of the truth the prospects can grasp in relation to the product and how it can better their lives. Understanding that perception allows you to use it to your advantage, as you can self-promote and show the prospect why their services are useful. Even more so in a way that they will welcome and understand, based on their lifestyle habits. 3. More career options There is no field that doesn’t use some marketing principles, especially in today's digital world. From administrative positions to business management, marketing studies are needed for various reasons that have nothing to do with self-promotion. Marketing is what brings consumers and products together. Therefore, it can control the way an organization or business functions. Since marketing skills are as versatile as they are, companies look for them for their employees. Business executives need to know how to conduct marketing research that makes sense. Also, salespeople need to understand why their product is good enough to stand out, out of the variety of products out there that serve the same purpose. Even those into product development need to understand core marketing principles, to prioritize the needs of a new product and the features they will need to create first. How Marketing Helps Freelancers For freelancers, their work is their chance to market themselves. Therefore, they need to grasp some of the basic marketing principles to promote their work first: Freelancers with some marketing knowledge know how to analyze data, research their ideal audience, and come forth with the result to do their work and their audience justice. Another benefit of studying marketing for freelancers would be the ability to pick the ideal platform they could use, especially if they know how to use digital platforms. The great thing about digital platforms is that they offer a low- or zero-cost solution to promoting a freelancer's work. So, freelancers who can benefit from some marketing knowledge through analytics, customer psychology, or even some great content that can ease prospects further down the sales funnel, are one step ahead. The Type of Skills Marketing Develops Communication and analytical skills Nothing says "communicator" like a good marketer with the time and patience to listen and learn from their prospects. This type of patience and understanding is necessary for all professionals of any kind. As we all know, every business relies on customers - nurturing them, approaching them, and listening to their needs takes much effort, even more so when brands are required to listen and create something worthwhile. No brand doesn’t love professionals who can read report after report and make educated decisions. Understanding the customer, the student, the hiring manager, and anyone you will have to convince is crucial for your future. Understanding human interaction and what it means to each person involved can make a difference between convincing and cooperating with the audience, whatever that may be, and losing an opportunity. That type of understanding would not be possible without the use and in-depth understanding of data. An arrow in the marketing skill set quiver is that type of understanding. No brand doesn’t love professionals who can read report after report and make educated decisions. Salespeople, entrepreneurs, solopreneurs - not just marketers - everyone needs to have that functional knowledge of data interpretation. It leads to accurate planning, concrete strategies, and a working understanding of the customers themselves. It’s easy to see how marketing studies can benefit everyone in any position and profession from everything mentioned above. But what about the personal advantages and the life skills gained through marketing studies? Personal advantages of marketing As said before, marketers are usually good communicators. To be a good communicator, you need to be a good listener first. Good listeners are great at gathering and analyzing data, and making the right decision at the right time, both in your personal and professional lives. What’s more, marketing studies can cultivate social and people skills. Great marketers listen to their audience; they interact with them, continually looking for ways to improve or even re-invent their approach in favor of their customers. This is a skill needed in everyone's day-to-day lives, especially when tackling problems and needing to think of more than one solution. Lastly, marketing can teach you how to work on a budget. Marketing budgets are often a sore subject, and marketers are forever looking for unique ways to lower costs without compromising their campaigns' quality. This is how "low-cost, non-tactical" marketing - also known as guerilla marketing — began, proving that a marketer is resourceful enough to do wonders on a budget. Quick tips for youngsters struggling for time management

Managing time not only makes us complete our work but also give us ample time for ourselves. People can work smarter when they learn to manage their time effectively. However, each human is wired uniquely different. It Increases Your Productivity: If you manage your time effectively, it adds to your productivity levels. Assigning a fixed time for all the tasks to be done in a day lets you plan your day in advance and enables you to do more tasks in less time. But you should remember that this will only be effective if you do your work on time, procrastination will definitely have a negative effect on your productivity. It Keeps Your Work Organised: The best way of time management for students is to create and follow a fixed timetable for each day. This is beneficial for students since they will have a clear idea of the different tasks to be done each day, and they could also easily mark the tasks as done after completing them. This will make your daily tasks organised and you can even choose to do the more important ones first by putting them at the top of the things-to-do list. Positive Effect On Health: Good time management efforts also reflect on your health. When you manage your time effectively, you don’t have to stay up late to finish your tasks. Cutting down on your sleep time will lead to tiredness, which will hamper your schedule for the day. Getting a good night’s sleep is essential for your brain and body to recharge itself, and this reflects positively on your health and energy levels. More Time For Extracurricular Activities: When you have a fixed schedule for all your tasks for the day, you get an idea of the extra time you will have left after completing all your tasks. You can schedule your tasks in a way so that you get more time to do what you love. This can include hobbies like drawing, painting, singing, dancing, photography etc, or you can even go cycling or jogging to get some fresh air to refresh yourself. It Helps in Stress Reduction: Not completing your studies, assignments and projects can cause you to be stressed out. Taking care of our mental health is very important for everyone, and since students often get increased stress and anxiety levels due to the pressure of studies, it reflects on their poor performance. Effective time management can help you in lessening this mental pressure, which will also boost your confidence and energy levels. No Last-minute Cramming of Syllabus: One problem that students often face is not completing their syllabus on time. This leads to them cramming up all the chapters just before the exams, which undoubtedly makes them get lower scores than they expected. With proper techniques of time management for students, they can not only complete studying the chapters in their syllabus on time, but also have some extra time left for their revisions. Plan out each day: Although it is likely that plans can change, don’t let it get in the way of your planning. Putting aside a few minutes each night or evening at the end of your workday to plan out tomorrow can help you wake up the next day ready to take it on! Plan out and prioritize your daily, weekly, and monthly tasks One of the best ways I create schedules is through planners. Go to the store and buy yourself a planner. Then start filling in the due dates of tasks for the month and list them in order of prioritization. Once this is done, you can then start building out a weekly schedule and plans for each individual day. Don’t forget to leave some areas of free time in case something gets in the way and you’ll have the extra time to complete it! By planning and creating schedules, you can help make your life run more smoothly! You can also check off the tasks you finished, which in turn will make you feel more productive. Time management is the art of making the optimum utilization of your time on different activities to achieve your desired goals of life. Managing your time is the key to success. The problem is that there is no standard time schedule that can work for all people. Your time management depends on various factors like your nature and the goals to be achieved. You have to develop your own time management formula which can make you productive and successful. Identification of Goal: If you don’t know where to go, you would never reach anywhere in life. If you keep changing your goal post frequently, you would never be able to score success. The key to success lies in identifying your goals of life. You can have one or more goals in your life like getting a good job, maintaining good family relationship, start your own company, keeping good health etc. You must be specific in your goals in order to procced in the right direction. The real challenge in goal setting is to eliminate many less important goals from your life. For example, if you wish to become a top civil service officer, you may have to forget about doing jobs, MBA or research or become a writer or singer. People don’t want to lose anything since the pain of losing something immediately is much greater than the joy of gaining something in future. Unless you are willing to let go less important things of life, you can’t achieve most important things in your life. Prioritizing: Even if we have many goals, but their priorities keep changing with time. For example, when we have examination on our head, we may have to make studies the top priority. However, once exams are over, studies may be given last priority for some time. You must be able change your priorities depending upon the context. Planning and Scheduling: Abraham Lincoln once said, “Give me six hours to chop down a tree and I will spend the first four sharpening the axe”. You must spend a good amount of time to plan your work. Planning should be done on annual, monthly and daily basis. You must keep some margin for the unplanned events as well so that you meet the deadlines set by you. Your goals should be ambitious but reasonable which can be achieved with little more effort than you usually do. You must plan for the day every morning and follow up the schedule. If there is some loss of time due to unavoidable reason, make up that time by putting up extra effort so that you keep your schedule intact. Keeping Variety: Our mind gets bored by doing the same thing for a long time. We must vary the activities over the course of the day and the week. For example, we can plan a movie or an event in the weekend. We can also allocate different time for doing different subjects or different type of activities within the same subject. We can also vary our input methods like books, internet, video, discussion with friends etc. for learning. Emphasis on Quality: Many people focus on quantity and believe that more is better. They study as many books as possible for examinations. They work as long hours in the office as they can. Instead of focusing on the outcome, they are focused on inputs. You must rather focus on the outcome and efficiency. The path that gives maximum output with minimum input is the best. Perform one work at a time and take up the next work only when first is over. Delegate: Instead of doing everything yourself, learn to delegate or outsource the work to people. The more you delegate, the more time you have to focus on doing the quality work. However, keep monitoring the work that is delegated and spend time to guide your subordinates to maintain the quality standards. Revision and Feedback: It is said that practice makes one perfect. Only when you practice the same thing over several times, you would be able to master it. Instead of devoting more time for learning in one go, divide it for original reading plus multiple revisions. In your professional life, you can get constant feedback of your decisions so that you can do the necessary modifications to achieve the goals. Avoid Diversions: It is difficult to concentrate on something important but it is easy to break the concentration. Once the concentration is broken, it takes a long time to focus again. You must switch off all the notifications on mobile and keep your phone on silent mode to avoid any diversion. You can allot fixed time every day for watching TV, and using email. Facebook. WhatsApp etc. Avoid Stress: When we are under stress, our efficiency goes down drastically. You can’t run long distance with huge rucksack on your back. Stress can even immobilize you and make you numb. Pain is always more powerful than pain. When we are undergoing any type of physical, mental or emotional pain, we can’t focus on the task in hand. Avoid all forms of stress and avoiding doing things that brings stress. Don’t engage in illegal or immoral activities which gives short time pleasure but long time pain. Be Positive: When you are positive, your mind works at its best. The positive emotional like love, faith, hope improves your efficient and hence you make best use of your time. Avoid doing negative things and avoid being in the company of negative people. Don’t allow the negative thoughts to seep into your mind and fill your mind always with positive thoughts. Prayers, company of positive people and reading inspirational books can help your eliminate negativity from your life.

How to Keep Yourself Motivated to Study

Find Your Spot A comfortable chair in a place that has minimal distractions can surely help you focus better. Over a period of time, your mind will eventually start associating that spot exclusively with productivity, focus and learning. So, the next time you sit down to study, clear your desk. Keep your phone away, remove any object that could meddle with your attention and place only the essentials on your desk. If you are studying online, close all the unwanted tabs and block any unnecessary websites that you might feel tempted to check. Take a Stroll What happens when you exercise? Endorphins are pumped into your bloodstream! This hormone erases the lingering fatigue and brain fog, restoring focus and improving your mood. So, a nice 30-minute walk might be just what you need to focus on studying. It nudges you in the right direction, getting you back on the productivity track. Go Easy in the Beginning   It’s definitely not a great idea to start with the most challenging chapters at a time when you are already struggling to focus. The next time you find yourself in such a situation, go over the previous chapter you recently studied or choose a topic that you know will be easy for you to learn. By doing this, you will not only keep the momentum going but also be able to focus better. Don’t Forget to Reward Yourself All work and no play means you will find your motivation and focus fading in a very short period of time. Thus, it is important to treat yourself to something you love once in a while. You can pick anything — an episode of your favourite show, an hour of gaming or even a scoop of a new ice cream flavour. Remember, a little self-appreciation can do great wonders. Keep up your motivation Once you accomplish the tasks in the list, cross-out the task and reward yourself. Treat yourself with your favourite snack or play a video game or take a walk in the neighbourhood or anything else that you find relaxing. During home learning or home tutoring, such positive reinforcement can keep you going. Manage Time When you opt for home tutoring sessions or online classes, you may lose track of time. Utilize your time management skills to tackle it. Plan your study schedule and the time needed to study each subject. Set yourself realistic targets. Let the sessions be optimal. Keep learning and have fun Where applicable, learn concepts by implementing them in real-life scenarios. This is especially true in subjects like Maths and Science. Take time to explore, conduct fun experiments and understand the concepts better and deeper. Focus on One Thing Multitasking may not work for everyone and it can even become a distraction for some. Especially because giving 100% attention to all tasks is impossible. Get More Done-One Thing at a Time. Zack says that multitasking is a myth and we can actually be more productive by taking up one task at a time. Take a Cue From Nature One of the easiest ways to be more productive in studies is by making the most of the time when your energy levels are high. Look at the Long Term Getting things done on a daily basis without a goal is not helpful. There needs to be a long term goal to be more productive in your studies. Establish reasonable goals for a study session. You probably won’t get very far if you look at your study session as "mission impossible." Use a motivational poster The poster should include positive words and a picture depicting success. You can buy one or even make your own. You can also read inspirational stories about real people who have achieved success through effort. Reality check of your life : Daily try to connect dots of your purpose with your target, Meditate daily, See where you stand now in your life and where you want to be in few years, Check your ground reality , Knit your priorities over distractions.

As a fashion design student, you must keep an eye on the changing and growing demand of the audience you wish to cater to. Those stable artists you consider competitors are also a wealth of knowledge, so it is equally important to learn and observe how they interpret their design and creativity into changing trends and develop a set pattern of skills. 5. TEAMWORK AND COLLABORATIVE SKILLS As a fashion student, teamwork becomes extremely important. When it comes to fashion designers, there is much more to it than just designing a garment. Fashion design is a multitasking job that necessitates a variety of skills. To be successful in the fashion industry, you must reflect on and improve your skills, as well as build an impressive profile.

Difference between MBA and PGDM

WHAT EXACTLY IS MBA? An MBA is a two-year postgraduate degree programme that offers a variety of specialisations and is accredited by the university with which the college that offers the course is affiliated. The course assists future business leaders and entrepreneurs in developing business and management skills. An MBA is awarded to students who complete a two-year management programme. Successful completion of this course makes it easier to build a career in the candidate's preferred industry. WHAT EXACTLY IS PGDM? A PGDM is a business management programme that is offered by autonomous B-schools that are accredited by AICTE and are not affiliated with any university. THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN AN MBA AND A PGDM The primary distinction between the two programmes is that an MBA is a degree programme, whereas a PGDM is a diploma programme. Both MBA and PGDM, as postgraduate courses, require students to have completed their graduation in any stream with at least 50 percent and 45 percent marks, respectively.   Candidates for MBA admission must take entrance exams. While PGDM candidates must also take entrance exams, some institutions allow direct entry based on their own (institute-level) examination. Both of these courses necessitate additional rounds such as the Written Ability Test (WAT), Group Discussions (GD), and Personal Interview (PI). The MBA and PGDM curricula are very similar. However, MBA course norms are determined by the university, and the curriculum is not frequently revised because colleges are not permitted to make changes without the university's approval. PGDM courses, on the other hand, are quite flexible because they are offered by autonomous institutes that can introduce elemental changes in the program's curriculum to make education more effective. MBA programmes focus on developing students' business and technical knowledge, with an emphasis on developing theoretical concepts that are essential in the business world. PGDM prepares students for real-world situations by preparing them to come up with viable solutions. The course's primary goal is to prepare students for employment by making them industry-ready and adaptable. MBA programmes are less expensive than PGDM programmes. Because MBA programmes are affiliated with universities, the grants received by the university help to offset the cost of the course for students. Because most institutions do not receive grants, students must bear the entire cost of PGDM courses. As a result, pursuing a PGDM is an expensive programme. Choosing the right college is therefore as important as deciding on either course. Before making a decision, students should consider factors such as industry interface, practical and live projects, case studies, and the college's placement history. CONCLUSION To summaries, both the MBA and the PGDM are highly valued management courses that are perceived to be of equal value around the world. The curriculum and fee structure are the most significant differences. Pursuing either of the two courses can guarantee students well-paying job opportunities, which are further dependent on academic performance.

Career in coding

In this fast-paced world, technological advancements abound, from smartphones to laptops, OTT platforms to online gaming, and so on. When it comes to technology, there is a lot to learn because we are all becoming more and more reliant on it every day.It actually resulted in the emergence of new job opportunities that we could not have predicted for years.People and businesses are redefining industries as a result of an adaptive work culture and a dynamic demand for tech applications. This digital era's arrival will be nothing short of an exponential change, something that our traditional curricula aren't prepared for, necessitating the need for upskilling courses that can better prepare students for tomorrow's technological demands. THE IMPORTANCE OF CODING Coding is the process of creating or programming a computer through a creative process that instructs the computer to perform various actions. In layman's terms, codes are a set of inputs, actions, outputs, and reactions that enable a computer to function as intended. Coding is at the heart of the technological revolution, which has only seen an upward trend. We are still adopting emerging technologies such as automation, artificial intelligence, and the Internet of Things (IoT), but coding is nurturing these technologies from the ground up. Indeed, global corporations are heavily investing in disruptive technologies to improve their operations and processes.  Experts from around the world agree that coding as a skill should be introduced to children during their early years, when their minds are highly absorbent of information but malleable enough to forge their own paths. One of the most significant advantages of learning to code at a young age is that it helps the child develop logical thinking and approaches every problem with a solution-oriented mindset. And as Indian parents become more aware of the career opportunities that coding offers, the culture of coding as a skillset is only going to grow in the coming years. Many people in their twenties and thirties are choosing coding as a career path. People are learning and starting their entrepreneurial journey in the coding industry, not just in terms of career. A NEW LANGUAGE FOR CODING Coding may appear to be the same as learning a new language, but this is not the case. At the end of the day, it all comes down to laying a solid foundation and developing a critical thinking process. You simply need the right mentor and to enrol in programmes that emphasise practical learning rather than memorising concepts. THOUGHTS ON CONCLUSION There is no set age for learning to code. It is dependent on the student's interests and preferences as to when he or she wishes to learn - either during their growing years or later. Technological advancements will continue unabated, as will the learning process. Naturally, there will be a high demand for such skills in the market.

Now that you have made up your mind to become an IAS officer, you should take up a course in graduation that involves subjects like history and political science, as these are immensely important subjects for GS papers. 2. Start with reading subjects more like public administration, economics, sociology, etc., as these are some key subjects from the UPSC viewpoint and have practical use in the administrative field. Conquering such subjects can relieve your pressure of selecting an optional subject while appearing for the IAS exam.  3. Start revising NCERT books from class 6th onwards, as these are the basics and a good source of information. These books are important for all your subjects, like economics, history, civics, geography, mathematics, etc. 4. Develop the habit of reading the newspaper daily. Read at least 2-3 newspapers like Hindu, Indian express, and one financial newspaper like business-standard before leaving for college. You can also refer to Google for summarised news in the morning.  5. Figure out how to make notes and organize stuff like study material, mock test papers, notes, etc., in a folder or file, which will help keep things handy and available during revisions.  6. Increase your study hours. UPSC exams have a vast syllabus, and one should be persistent with time to cover that much of the syllabus. Don't waste your time; instead, utilize the maximum time you have in studying and revising topics.  7. Start solving previous year's questions and try to match your answers with those written by toppers. This will help you understand the concepts in detail.  8. Try to improve your communication skills as well as your personality. To begin with, you can join some elocution contests or quizzes. This will help you express your thoughts more freely.  9. Physical fitness is also important. Take part in sports to keep yourself occupied and relaxed. Fitness also plays an important role in building personality. Don't take up too many sports; one or two is sufficient, either football or cricket. Swimming would be the best way to relax your body. If possible, try to play chess as it is a good way to use your head.  10. Don't fool around in college or think you have enough time to prepare for the exam. Study as an IAS aspirant and not as a random college kid. Stay focused and remind yourself why you want to be a civil servant. You can also look at IAS topper interviews for that adrenaline rush.  Conclusion  I hope this article helped clear your doubts regarding How to become an IAS officer after the 12th? As I mentioned, you cannot directly appear for the IAS exams right after the 12th. It is the preparation and hard work you can start putting in throughout your journey until you are eligible to take the IAS exams. Anatomy - Gray's is the Bible of Anatomy as far as I know. A very easy to learn and is more clinically oriented which will be very useful for your Viva. But there are also other books you can follow, Vishram Singh Charurasia On practical aspect Cunningham's is the best manual one can get. Physiology - Though there are many standard books such as Ganong and Guyton, you can use them as reference books and rely on G. K. Pal for better understanding. A. K. Jain is equally good. But if you start reading G. K. Pal , you will never want any other book. Biochemistry - Vasudevan for molecular biology Sathyanarayana for all the other chapters Harper's can be used for references The above list is purely based on my planning and strategy. You can approach your seniors for the standard book used in your college. Make sure to get the latest edition for all the books. Also make use of old editions in the library. They contain a lot than the latest edition. Regarding planning and strategy, there are endless things that I have left unsaid. But remember that this is the golden period of college life. Use it fullest to make memories and bond with friends, but never forget why you are here in the first place. ANATOMY GROSS ANATOMY : B.D. Chaurasia (easy to understand, plenty of diagrams which you can reproduce in exams), GRAY'S anatomy Student Edition (I referred to the PDF for diagrams and for better concepts), Netter's Atlas (magnified diagrams, good to understand and visualise) NEUROANATOMY : B.D. Chaurasia (volume 4), Vishram Singh HISTOLOGY : Difiore's (best one), I.B. Singh (never draw diagrams from here, only refer it for identification points for exams) EMBRYOLOGY : Langman (beautiful diagrams, exact replica of which you'll get as models in lab, language little tough), I.B. Singh (easy language, lots of flowcharts and tables- better to retain) OSTEOLOGY : Poddar & Bhagat (and Viren Kariya's videos during exams) DISSECTION : Cunningham (though I just used it for gross practical file diagrams) PHYSIOLOGY Guyton & Hall (standard textbook with lovely explanation, good to clear concepts but reproducing it in exams is difficult) A.K. Jain (this'll come to your rescue in exams, language is pretty easy to understand) Ganong (i personally never read it, but its a good one for PG entrance) R.L. Bijlani (my personal favourite) BIOCHEMISTRY Harper (standard one, though I didn't use🤦but regret now; difficult to comprehend) Vasudevan (totally relied on it and really liked the illustrations in metabolism related chapters, good for concepts and exams) Lippincott (professors recommended us to use it for genetics part and I read it from pdf) Other , MBBS comprehensive Books : Park’s Textbook of Preventive and Social Medicine by K.Park Basic and Clinical Pharmacology by Ph.D. Katzung, Bertram G., M.D. and Ph.D. Vanderah, Todd W Atlas of Human Anatomy by Netter Handbook of General Anatomy by BD Chaurasia Textbook of Microbiology by Bauman Robert W. Robbins Basic Pathology by Vinay Kumar MBBS MD FRCPath, Abul K. Abbas MBBS, Essentials of Medical Pharmacology by KD Tripathi Bailey and Love’s Short Practice of Surgery Pathological Basis of Diseases by Vinay Kumar MBBS MD FRCPath, Abul K. Abbas MBBS Textbook of Human Histology by Inderbir Singh Diseases of Ear, Nose, and Throat by P L Dhingra   The basic steps of your starting strategy Finding the bigger picture by skimming the material before class. It is important to be able to identify four or five major topics. Creating a rough draft of the material based on the lecturer’s slides. Notes can help emphasize the context in the textbook. Creating lists or diagrams that help organize the needed material. This approach can help emphasize patterns that facilitate memorization. Actively memorizing the material through lists and diagrams. It is important to be able to incorporate the information quickly and efficiently. Practicing applying the material through practice or quiz questions during the study process. They can be used in any active study pattern and include the following: Identifying important information Organizing the information Memorizing the information Applying the information to more complex situations   So, make sure to get a proper essence of the subjects before passing on to the next year. Coming to the strategy part, there are a set of things that are really important and should not be missed. Never ever miss your dissection hall classes. This is the place where you are really going to feel yourself as a medico. Respect the cadaver and it will teach you many things that text books can't. Bunking classes may sound like fun, but then you will be the one banging your heads cluelessly. Maintain proper notes from beginning. Trust me, notes are the only saviour during your exams. Make charts, diagrams….etc. Make it as simple and easy for you. Class notes are also equally important, as teachers may teach you what may be absent in textbooks. Use your library to the fullest and not your Google. Google may give you only the answer to your doubts. But books can lead you to new questions and further answers Taking leave and going home is not a problem. But make sure to keep an eye over your attendance percentage or else it will become a serious headache when exam approaches. Maintaining good attendance will help you over your internal marks. Also, you can afford to take extra holidays in the end for studying. You will surely need it. There are some good videos on Anatomy and Physiology which you can rely upon. They are the best tools if you are finding a topic difficult. They really do help. Make sure your are good in all the basics before passing out of first year. The basic Anatomy, Physiology and Biochemistry are going to travel with you throughout your course and practice as a doctor. Though reading the entire concept is necessary, as the exam approaches you should concentrate on scoring areas. Remember, only marks can take you to your second year safely. You can seek help from your seniors regarding important topics to cover. Reading the entire book before the night of exam will be a complete waste of time. Learn to know, what to read and what to learn. Regarding exams, it is all in your preparation. There will be one or two questions for which you will not know the answer. But remember to not leave any question blank. As the saying goes.... If you don't know about the tree, tie a goat to the tree and write about the goat. Few simple revision tips for new medical students Break up study schedules into 20 to 30 minute segments Create a study timetable Keep hardest topics for the morning Create colorful notes and mind maps Practice old exams and papers Start assignments sooner rather than later Learn to speak with confidence and structure

How to Find Your Desired Career Path

Career Goals: Introspection: While choosing a career path, one must begin by introspecting. Contemplating your wants will help you get certain with some thoughts. One of the most helpful answers for how to choose a career path is by answering some questions while introspecting. Interests Know yourself: Before you hop on to a particular career path, it is essential that you must know yourself thoroughly. It is always preferred to have a hold of your likes and dislikes. evaluate your interests and skills: As you will be directing your life towards one single path, it is important that you enjoy doing it. With a strong grip over your strengths and weaknesses. Designing a career plan is a gradual process that can be started right after you complete high school. It should reflect your skills, achievements, and aspirations. By the time you prosper in your life, you can go on adding things and arranging the contents in it according to your priority. It becomes essential that you revisit your formulated layout to assess what your next course of action should be. Personality: decisions taken in rush, individuals tend to enter a job profile or industry wherein they find it difficult to adjust. Thus, it is mandatory to do a personality check and know about the Do’s and Don’ts. You can take various personality tests online and get to know yourself better. The revolutionary AI-technology for the best career choices and opportunities abroad has helped ubecome the most trusted service providers in the field among aspirants. Career Options: Whilst looking out for your ideal job, an effective step would be searching for more and more career options. In today’s scenario, there are a plethora of options available other than the conventional ones. Get the Right Degree: Once you have narrowed down your career option, predominantly you should work upon attaining the appropriate education required to pursue a career in the desired field. During the time you graduate from your high school, the decisions are highly influenced by your parents. You may choose to follow a career path that suits your interest and fits your need. By the time you plan to seek admission in college, the decisions you take become more consequential which can have a life-changing impact on you. While it is crucial to have a career plan all along your journey, you need professional guidance to help you design one. It might seem an unimportant task to fill a paper with your aspirations and goals, but the same quality has been seen in personalities who are successful in their careers Don’t limit yourself: Avoid the question “what do you do?” which implies that anyone can sum up their entire life with one title. Don’t lock yourself up in a box that’s titled “software developer” because then you’ll never be able to even think of becoming a poet, a journalist or a fashion designer. You can have as many labels as you want. You are allowed to change. You owe explanations only to yourself. Define your passions: Work takes the majority of our time. So we better make sure we are extremely thrilled about what we do. A good pay check and benefits might seem exciting but that could only last a few months. You need to be excited every day when you wake up. You must be eager when you start your workday, so much that you wouldn’t count the minutes until it’s over A good rule of thumb — think of things you do (or used to do) that are interesting and fun so much that time passes by without you even realizing. Those things that make you skip a meal by accident or stay up all night. It’s never too late to change Whether you worked as a PA in a law firm for the past five years or you recently decided to enroll to medicine studies — it’s never too late to change. Understanding this step is as crucial as all the previous ones. Sometimes we realize that we’ve made a wrong decision. And sometimes passion wears off. There’s no shame in it. Any expert investor knows that you don’t want to hold on to a bad investment. At some point you have to accept your loss. Life is very much the same. Changes and new investments are required for continued growth.

What is the exam pattern of JEE main and advanced

Candidates who closely observe and follow the exam pattern will not only be able to prepare a successful study plan but they can ultimately perform well and achieve a better result in the exam. Check the JEE Pattern below! While the JEE Main syllabus is mainly mapped according to the NCERT textbooks, NTA does prescribe a separate syllabus for JEE. It comprises topics covered in class 11th and 12th standard, including Maths, Physics, and Chemistry. The questions asked in the JEE Main exam are easy but require a lot of intelligent work, practice, and adequate preparation. One of the significant challenges generally faced by students is the time constraint. To overcome this, students need to develop adept problem-solving skills and time management skills to ensure the successful completion of the examination. Moreover, before starting their preparations, students should acquire an in-depth and clear understanding of every topic covered in the syllabus of JEE Main. Therefore, candidates should read the syllabus at least once before studying. This exercise will help them gain insight into all the introductory chapters or topics they should focus on. Additionally, they can formulate a proper study plan accordingly.   JEE-Main and JEE-Advanced in Terms of Difficulty Level It is a well-known fact that the JEE-Advanced is much more difficult than the JEE-Main. The aim of JEE-Main is to make sure that students understand their class 11th and 12th syllabus properly. However, the JEE-Advanced is more geared towards evaluating the analytical and problem-solving skills of the student. JEE-Main and JEE-Advanced in Terms of Syllabus The JEE-Main syllabus is the same as the CBSE syllabus. But the JEE-Advanced has a slightly different syllabus. There are some topics in JEE-Main that are not in the JEE-Advanced syllabus. For instance, chapters like Chemistry in Everyday Life, Semiconductors, and transistors aren’t a part of the JEE-Advanced syllabus. JEE-Main and JEE-Advanced in Terms of Eligibility Getting a top JEE-Main rank makes you eligible for a seat at NITs and IIITs. However, a good performance in the JEE-Advanced will fetch you an IIT.  While there were a few modifications made to the exam pattern in 2019, for the 2021 exam NTA has yet   again introduced some new changes. They are as follows.  Four sessions of the exam instead of two. The Paper 1 exam will be held in February, March, April and May. However, Paper 2A and Paper 2B (B. Arch & B. Planning) will be held only twice a year (February & May 2021). Paper 1 will now consist of 90 questions where 20 questions will be asked in section a and 10 in section b. Students can answer a total of 75 questions – 20 questions in section a and 5 questions in section b for each subject – Physics, Chemistry, and Maths. Paper 2A is only set for B.Arch. courses. It will consist of 82 total questions out of which students can attempt only 77 questions (Mathematics- 25; Aptitude- 50; Drawing- 2). The total marks allotted is 400. Paper 2B will consist of 105 questions and students can attempt 100 questions. The paper will also be out of 400 marks. For Paper 2A and Paper 2B, candidates can answer any 5 out of the 10 questions in numerical value-based part in the Mathematics section. The question papers will be set in 13 different languages. JEE Main Exam Pattern: JEE Main will be held in four sessions. The first session of the exam is being conducted in the month of February while the other sessions will be held in the month of March, April and May. However, notifications and circulars about the exam are usually released on the official website and candidates should keep a close eye on the updates and refer them to know the latest details about the exam.   JEE Main Paper I Exam Pattern  Course B. Tech Exam Mode Online Subjects Physics, Chemistry and Maths Type of Questions MCQs and Numerical based questions Duration 3 hrs Medium English, Hindi and Gujarati Total Marks 300 Marking Scheme 4 for the correct answer, -1 for the wrong answer and 0 for unanswered question.   Paper I: Section A will be of Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs) and,  Section B will contain Questions whose answers are to be filled in as a numerical value. They can then analyze their mistakes, correct them and write the exam for a second time. Students who fail to take the exam due to some unavoidable reasons they do not have to wait one full year to give the next exam. They can take the exam in the second session. Besides, only the best NTA scores out of the two exams will be considered for preparing the merit list. Highlights of JEE Advanced Exam Pattern The main exam will be conducted in computer-based mode. JEE Advanced consists of 2 papers (Paper 1 and Paper 2) and candidates have to appear for both the papers. The question paper consists of three parts: Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
