A division of the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT), New Delhi, is the Regional Institute of Education (RIE, formerly known as Regional College of Education). The Government of India established the RIEs in various locations covering various regions in 1963. Through creative pre-service and in-service teacher education programmes, as well as pertinent research, development, and extension initiatives, the Regional Institutes were founded with the goal of improving the quality of educational opportunities for students.

RIE CEE Syllabus 2023

  • Candidates should be familiar with the comprehensive RIE CEE 2023 syllabus in order to perform well on the test and to be properly prepared.
  • There are 3 parts in the RIE CEE syllabus –
  • Reasoning Ability,
  • Teaching Aptitude and
  • Language Proficiency.

Detailed Syllabus for RIE CEE 2023

The detailed RIE CEE syllabus for the year 2023 can be found below –

Teaching Aptitude

Attitude towards education, Children and teaching profession ,Interest in teaching, Leadership qualities & group ,management, Emotional & social adjustment, Intrapersonal & interpersonal skills, General awareness of contemporary issues pertaining to school education.

Reasoning Ability

Verbal, non-verbal reasoning, Missing numbers ,Number series, Letter series ,Theme finding ,Jumbling Analogy ,The odd one out ,Arranging the statements in a sequential form, Statement and conclusions, Syllogism , Logical problems ,Establishing relationships.

 

Areas for Common Entrance Examination Separate Questions will be prepared for the following groups:

  • Level - 1 : B.Sc.B.Ed./B.A.B.Ed./M.Sc.Ed.(Mysuru)
  • Level – 2: B.Ed./B.Ed.-M.Ed.
  • Level – 3: M.Ed. Level of question paper will be as given below:
  • Level -1 - The level of questions will be such as expected of the candidate completing higher secondary/senior secondary education
  • Level -2 - The level of questions will be such as expected of the candidate completing graduation
  • Level –3- The level of questions will be such as expected of the candidate completing graduation and professional education level.
  •  For all the levels, areas to be tested are:
  1. Language Proficiency
  2. Teaching Aptitude/Attitude Reasoning Ability Out of 80 questions,
  3. Language Proficiency in English 20 questions,
  4. Teaching Aptitude/Attitude 30 questions and
  5. Reasoning Ability 30 questions weightage will be given.
  • Medium of Test Booklets will be only in English and Hindi.
  • No. of test items-80, Time Duration-120 minutes.
  • No. of test booklets- Only one set of booklet will be prepared for each group.
  • Correct answer(s) will carry 2 marks each, Wrong answer(s) will carry negative marking of (minus) -0.5 marks each and Question(s) unattended will carry no marks.
  • Syllabus for CEE-2023
  • Language Proficiency indicating specific areas like comprehension, rearranging sentences, selecting suitable words for the blanks, finding out errors in parts of the sentences, finding out equivalent meaning to the given Phrases, finding out out suitable words for the incomplete sentences, sequencing, grammar which includes synonyms, antonyms, idioms, prepositions, tenses, articles.
  • Teaching Aptitude will cover specific areas like attitude towards education, children and teaching profession; interest in teaching; leadership qualities & group management; emotional & social adjustment; intrapersonal & interpersonal skills; and general awareness of contemporary issues pertaining to school education.
  • Reasoning Ability indicating specific areas like verbal non-verbal reasoning, missing numbers, number series, letter series, theme finding, jumbling, analogy, odd one out, arranging the statements in a sequential form, statement and conclusions, syllogism, logical problems, establishing relationships.

 

  • RIE CEE 2023 Reservation
  • Policy Candidates who fall under specific categories are admitted based on the seats designated for them on the basis of relaxed criteria, in accordance with the regulations established by the Government of India. From the table below, learn the reservation requirements.
  • Candidates applying under the reservation quota will only be considered for admission based on the lists made public by the Indian government and the category certificate or PwD certificate in the format that has been approved by the Indian government and issued by the appropriate administration.
  • In order to be considered under the reserved category, OBC candidates must affix a certificate from a competent authority stating that they do not belong to the Creamy Layer.
  • Reservation by Category: SC 15%, ST 7.5%, OBC 27%, PwD 5%, EWS 10%
  • RIE CEE 2023 Stream-Wise Eligibility
  • The eligibility requirements that applicants must meet for various streams and courses are listed below: B.Ed Candidates for B.Ed applications must have earned a minimum of 50% in their bachelor's degree and/or master's degree in the humanities, social sciences, or sciences.
  • Candidates with a bachelor's degree in engineering or technology with a mathematics or science concentration are also welcome to apply.
  • The minimum score for candidates who are SC, ST, or PwD is 45%. B.Sc. plus B.Ed. Candidates for the B.Sc. B.Ed. in Physical Science group must have passed the 10 + 2 exam or a comparable test in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM).
  • Applicants for the Biological Science group (CBZ) must have earned a 10+2 diploma or its equivalent in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology or Biotechnology. (PCB) They must have received at least 50% on their exam from a reputable board or institution. Please note those who have passed 10 + 2 in 2022, 2021, or are appearing or have appeared in 2023 are only eligible to send their applications.
  • BA + B. Ed The candidate must have obtained a minimum aggregate of 50% (45% for the reserved candidates) in the qualifying exam to be eligible for the BA + B.Ed programme for RIE CEE 2023.
  • B.Ed-M.Ed Candidates must have earned a postgraduate degree in science, social science, or the humanities from an accredited institution with at least 55% of their grade point average met or an equivalent mark.
