IIT Madras announces 100 Scholarships for pursuing BSc in Programming and Data Science

IIT Madras to provide 100 scholarships for students pursuing an online BSc degree in Programming and Data Science. The last date to apply for the course and scholarship is till December 21, 2021.

Indian Institute of Technology, IIT Madras will provide 100 scholarships for students pursuing an online BSc degree in Programming and Data Science. The Institute has partnered with Renault Nissan Technology & Business Centre India Private Limited to provide scholarships to students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds who are pursuing online BSc courses from IIT Madras.

As many as 100 students belonging to economically disadvantaged backgrounds can benefit from the scheme. The programme is offered three times a year and last date to apply for the January 2022 term is December 21, 2021.

The inaugural ceremony was attended by Debashis Neogi, Managing Director, RNTBCI, Ramakrishnan Ramanathan, Vice President, Renault Quality and Head CSR, Prof. Prathap Haridoss, Dean (Academic Courses), IIT Madras and Prof. Andrew Thangaraj, Coordinator, IIT Madras BSc Program on December 15, 2021, as per the statement released by the Institute.

While speaking at the event, Prof. Andrew Thangaraj, Coordinator, IIT Madras BSc Program, said, “We have students from various backgrounds who are in need of financial assistance. The scholarships from RNTBCI will help them to achieve their goals, which would have been impossible otherwise. We are delighted to partner with RNTBCI to support the students studying BSc in Programming and Data Science", read the official release.
