About MNIT Jaipur

Malaviya National Institute of Technology (MNIT), Jaipur was established in 1963 and is known as the Malaviya Regional Engineering College, Jaipur as a joint venture of the Government of India and the Government of Rajasthan. In 2002, the institute was given the status of National Institute of Technology, and in 2007, as an Institute of National Importance through the Act of Parliament. The institute is fully funded by the Government of India and the Ministry of Education (Shiksha Mantralaya). They have been admitting students for various courses offered in the institute. The institute aims to create technical manpower for meeting the current and future demands of the industry. Its vision consists of creating a centre for imparting technical education of international standards and conducting research at the cutting-edge level of technology to meet the current future challenges of technological development.

The institute is approved and recognised by AICTE and MHRD and accredited by NAAC. The institute campus is spread through an area of 317 acres of lush greenery. MNIT Jaipur offers B.Arch, B.Tech, M.Tech, MBA, M.Sc, M.Plan, and Ph.D programmes for interested candidates. The institute is equipped with various infrastructural facilities that are helpful for imparting knowledge to students.

Admissions

MNIT admission process requires the students to check the official website of the institute and the entrance exam portal regularly. MNIT admission to B. Tech. is done through JEE MAIN entrance exam followed by JoSAA counselling, MBA is done through CAT/MAT/GMAT/CMAT, MTech and M. Plan are done through GATE entrance exam, MSc admission through IIT JAM and admission for PhD is made based on written test and personal interview conducted by the institute. MNIT admission processes are listed below: -

1.     Fill and submit the admission form.

2.     Appear and qualify for the respective entrance exam.

3.     Participate in the required counselling or interview process.

4.     Submit your documents for verification.

5.     Selected candidates will then pay the fees.

MNIT Placement Cell aims at building a strong interface between industry and the institute for providing training and placement opportunities to students. Over the years, the institute has had an 80% success rate in terms of placement. Their past graduates have been placed in top companies with all the skills and expertise they have developed over their academic studies.

The MNIT Placement Cell provides training and assistance to the students when choosing their career and preparing for recruitment drives. Many career experts have been invited as guest speakers for the students to guide them choose the right career path for themselves based on their interest and skills they acquire.

Training and placement hold a high responsibility in students' career advancement, and it helps the students stand at a valuable place in the recruiting company. The average salary offered is around Rs 8 lakhs per annum, whereas the highest salary offered is around Rs 30 to Rs. 37 lakhs per annum.

Scholarships

  • 100% Tuition Fee waiver for SC/ST/PH students.
  • Full remission of the Tuition Fee for General and OBC students whose family income is less than Rs.1 lakh per annum.
  • Remission of 2/3rd of the Tuition Fee for General and OBC students whose family income is between Rs.1 lakh to Rs.5 lakh per annum.
  • MNIT scholarships for students are available to provide the necessary financial aid. The list of MNIT scholarships include-

    1.     Central Sector Scholarship of Top-Class Education for SC students (Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, New Delhi)

    2.     National Fellowship and Scholarship for Higher Education of ST students (CSSS Top Class ST students)

    3.     Merit-cum-Means Scholarship for Students Belonging to Minority Communities. (Ministry of Minority Affairs, New Delhi)

    4.     Post-matric Scholarship for Students with Disabilities

    5.     Central Sector Scholarship for College and University Students (MHRD, Govt. of India)

    6.     Scheme for Award of Engineers India Limited (EIL) Scholarship for SC and ST Undergraduate Engineering Students

    Apart from these scholarships, students can also avail various state and central scholarships. They can also avail educational loans from trusted banks.
