IIT Ropar Admission Process for B.Tech/B.E/Dual Degree programmes

• Candidates seeking admission to B.Tech/B.E/Dual Degree programmes, have to appear and qualify JEE Advanced.
• Based on their scores in JEE Advanced, candidates have to register for JoSAA counselling on the official website of JoSAA for participating in the joint counselling.
• Candidates need to choose IIT Ropar as the preferred college while doing the choice filling and choice locking.
• Candidates are offered admission to B.Tech/B.E/Dual Degree programmes based on JoSAA registration, participation in counselling, choice filling, choice locking, document verification and fee payment.

IIT Ropar PG Admissions

IIT Ropar M.Sc. programmes

• Aspiring candidates seeking admission to M.Sc programmes need to appear and qualify JAM.
• On the basis of JAM scores and eligibility criteria, candidates need to register themselves for JAM counselling on the official website of JAM by providing their JAM credentials, qualifying degrees certificates, personal details and fees payment.
• Candidates will have to select Indian Institute of Technology Ropar as their first preference while doing the choice locking.
• Candidates will be offered admission to M.Sc programmes based on the counselling participation, choice locking, choice filling, document verification and payment of fees.

IIT Ropar Admission Process for M.Tech/M.E programmes

• Candidates seeking admission to these postgraduate programmes need to appear and qualify GATE for IIT Ropar admissions.
• Based on the qualifying scores, students have to register themselves for counselling on the official website of Indian Institute of Technology Ropar.
• Candidates need to register themselves for counselling by providing their exam credentials, qualifying degrees, personal details and fees payment.
• Candidates will get admission to M.Tech/M.E programmes after the successful verification of documents and payment of fees.

IIT Ropar MS admission

• Aspirants need to have a bachelor’s degree in B.Tech/B.E/M.Sc./MCA in any relevant field with an outstanding record in academics to get admission to MS programmes.
• Candidates seeking admission to MS programmes need to appear and qualify GATE.
• Based on their GATE scores and eligibility criteria, students have to register for counselling on the official website of Indian Institute of Technology Ropar.
• Students need to register for the counselling procedure along with the necessary documents and payment of fees.
• Students will get admission to M.S programme of IIT Ropar after participation in the counselling, document verification and fees payment.

IIT Ropar PhD Admission

For Admission to Ph.D programmes-

• Candidates need to appear and qualify the written test conducted by IIT Ropar to get admission to Ph.D programmes.
• Candidates who will qualify the written test, need to appear for an interview related to their research area.
• Based on the marks scored by candidates in their written test and interview, merit list of the eligible candidates will be released by the authority.
• Candidates will get admission to Ph.D programme of Indian Institute of Technology Ropar after the successful verification of documents and payment of fees.

• Full remission of the Tuition Fee for General and OBC students whose family income is less than ₹1 lakh per annum.
• Remission of 2/3rd of the Tuition Fee for General and OBC students whose family income is between ₹1 lakh to ₹5 lakh per annum.
