According to the rankings, the University of Oxford in the United Kingdom is the best university in the world, followed by the University of Harvard in the United States and the University of Cambridge in the United Kingdom.
The University of Oxford has topped the rankings list for the seventh time in a row.
Harvard leads in the teaching pillar, while Oxford leads in the research pillar.
A total of 1,799 universities from 104 countries and regions were evaluated using 13 carefully calibrated indicators.
These indicators assess an institution's performance in four areas: teaching, research, knowledge transfer, and international outlook.
The United States is the most numerous country on the list.
