SSC CGL is one of the most anticipated exams for government job candidates. SSC issued an official notification on September 17, 2022, and the online application process began with the release of the notification. The Staff Selection Commission holds the Combined Graduate Level (CGL) Examination in 2022 to fill various Group 'B' and Group 'C' posts in various Ministries/Departments/Organizations of the Government of India, as well as various Statutory/Constitutional Bodies, Tribunals, and so on. This article will provide you all the required details for SSC CGL 2022 from important dates to whole recruitment process.

SSC CGL Apply Online 2022 Link

Candidates are required to apply online to register themselves for SSC CGL 2022 exam for which the online registration link has been made active from 17th September 2022 onwards on www.ssc.nic.in. As 8th October 2022 will be the last day to apply for SSC CGL 2022 Exam: So, candidates are required to fill out the online application form before 8th October 2022 (11:00 PM).

SSC CGL 2022: Eligibility Criteria

Since SSC exam provides various posts and job profiles in different departments/ministries, hence the eligibility criteria vary according to the requirement of job profile. Here mentioned below is some common criteria for all the vacancies:

  • The minimum and maximum age for appearing for the exam is 18 to 32 years respectively.
  • The candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree/Graduation degree from a recognized university or institute. If candidate is in the final year, he/She is not eligible for applying.
  • For profiles such as Sub Inspector in Central Bureau of Investigation or the National Investigation Agency or Inspector (Examiner/ Preventative Officer/Central Excise), candidates also have to clear physical fitness test to be considered eligible.

 

SSC CGL 2022 Application Fee

After submitting the application, candidates have to pay application fee of Rs. 100/- either via Online Mode through BHIM UPI, Net Banking, by using Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, RuPay Credit or Debit cards (Last date 9th October 2022) or Offline Mode through cash in SBI Branches by generating SBI Challan (Last date 10th October 2022). Prerequisites for SSC CGL 2022 before Applying Online Application Form

Before applying online, candidates must check with the following important things:

  • Scanned copy of Signature ( 10 kb < Size < 20 kb ) in JPEG format.
  • Scanned copy of Photo ( 20 kb < Size < 50 kb ) in JPEG format.
  • Valid E-Mail I.D. which can be used for One time Registration Process. Kindly note this email id will be used by commission for further communication.
  • Valid Identity Proof. Kindly note details which are filled in online application form must exactly match with the Identity proof details.

 

Steps to Apply Online for SSC CGL 2022 Exam:-

 

Step 1: Go to the official website of commission. https://ssc.nic.in/.

 

Step 2: The registration link will open up SSC official website in the new tab.

Step 3:  If you are an existing user then login with your Registration no. and password. If you are a New user and never register before then Click on the New User/Register Now link as shown in image below:

Step 4: To begin with online applying process, Candidates need to provide basic details of themselves like Name, Parents name, date of birth, email id, mobile number etc. Kindly fill the data carefully as all the filled details are verified with original supporting documents at later stage and Basic details like name, DOB should exactly match with candidates Photo Identity Proof.

Step 5: After filling of details in all the three steps, click on submit button to submit your online Application Form. Before submitting the Application form, first verify your details. Unique Registration ID will be issued to the candidate which will be used for LOGIN afterwards.

Step 6: After Registration, Part-1 of Online Application Process will get completed, and Candidates are required to Complete the Part- 2 of Online Application Process which consists of details regarding Preferences of Posts/Examination Centers and other Details, uploading of Signature and Photograph as per mentioned dimensions and requirements of Staff Selection Commission of India.

Requisites for Photograph - The photograph must be recent (not more than three months old from notice published) passport sized scanned pic clicked in front of white color or light colored background having JPEG format in size of 20 KB to 50 KB. Image dimension of the photograph should be about 3.5 cm (width) x 4.5 cm (height).

Requisites for Signature - The signature to be uploaded must be in blue/black ink on the white sheet. The scanned must be in JPEG format and its size should be more than 10 kb and less than 20 kb. Image dimension of the signature should be about 4.0 cm (width) x 2.0 cm (height).

Note:- Blurred Photograph or Illegible Signature will be rejected by Commission.

Step 7: Login with registered ID and password to complete the Part-II of the application form of SSC CGL 2022.

Step 8: After filling out the application form, candidates must preview and check all the details filled in the entire application twice to look for any discrepancies in the form if any, as the online application form once submitted cannot be modified again.

Step 9: After Preview and final check, Click on Final Submit button to complete online registration process of SSC CGL 2022 and pay the required application fee.

Note: It is advised that Candidates must download and get final print of the submitted application form as it may require in further process.
