Indian companies on the Fortune 500 list in 2022

Nine Indian public and private companies have been added to the Fortune Global 500 list for 2022. The Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) is ranked 98th on the list, with revenue of USD 97,266.7 million. After being listed on Indian stock exchanges in May 2022, LIC has been added to the list for the first time.

Other countries on the Fortune 500 list for 2022 include:

Reliance Industries Ltd. is ranked 104th, with a revenue of USD 93,982 million in 2021-22. Reliance's ranking has risen by 51 places this year.

Walmart Inc. of the United States takes first place for the ninth year in a row. It has held the top spot for the 17th time since 1995.

Saudi Aramco is ranked sixth in the world. With earnings of USD 105 billion, it has reclaimed its title as the most profitable company in the world.

Top ten corporations in 2022 the following companies are on the Fortune Global 500 list:

Among the Indian companies on the list are:

IOCL (Indian Oil Corporation Ltd.) is ranked 142nd.

The Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) is ranked 190th.

State Bank of India (SBI) is ranked 236th.

BPCL (Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd) is ranked 295th.

The Fortune 500 list ranks companies around the world based on total revenues for fiscal years ending on or before March 31, 2022.
