AIIMS NORCET Exam is a National Level Exam conducted by AIIMS New Delhi every year for the recruitment of Nursing Officers. This exam is for the recruitment of pre-revised Pay Band-2 of Rs.9300-34800 with Grade Pay of Rs.4600/-, Group B for AIIMS New Delhi and other AIIMS.

As per directions received from MOHFW and its approval by the competent authority at AIIMS, a new decision has been taken on the schedule of conducting the exam NORCET (Nursing Officer Recruitment Common Eligibility Test). From the financial year 2023-24, the NORCET exam will be conducted twice in a year. This exam will be conducted for all AIIMS and Central Government Hospitals.

The first exam, NORCET-04 will be held on Saturday, 3rd June. The second exam is scheduled to be conducted in January month of the next year 2024. The institutions are asked to provide their vacancies before 31st March for NORCET-04 so that appropriate arrangements can be made.

This decision of AIIMS will help many of the students to choose their dream careers and serve the medical sector. However, many students are also against this decision as they are not eligible to appear in this exam due to the final year exam schedule. In Rajasthan, the exam conducting body Rajasthan University of Health Sciences conducts its final year B.Sc. Nursing Exams in April. The result is declared in August month. As a result, these students are not eligible for June NORCET Exam and they have to wait one extra year for January NORCET. These students are in demand of the traditional September NORCET Exam.
