All about CUET 2023

The admission procedure has changed for good, students will no longer be granted admission to undergraduate programs based on their board results; it will merely be a minimum eligibility criterion for admissions. It will give such students access to connect to various Universities. Common University Entrance Test (CUET), previously named Central University Entrance Test, is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). The National Testing Agency is established by the Ministry of Education, Government of India to conduct efficient, transparent, and standardized tests to check the competency of the candidates for admission to higher education. The CUET has now become mandatory for admission into Undergraduate Programs in the Central Universities under the Ministry of Education and other participating Universities and Colleges for the academic session 2023-24. It will be conducted in 13 different languages i.e, English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu. There are 250 participating Universities in CUET 2023 and admissions will be granted to students in these Universities on the basis of cut-off marks of various colleges and programs. It is a computer-based test that will be divided into four sections, where two sections are for language, one for domain test, and the other for general test. Candidates who wish to appear for CUET must comply with the eligibility criteria, he/she must be aware of all the requirements of participating colleges of CUET 2023. Age limit, educational qualification, nationality, and minimum qualifying marks; all these aspects should be kept in mind before applying for the CUET. The age limit doesn't play a major role in the admission process unless the college mentions a particular age criterion. Each College, University, and Course has a different entrance requirement but the most basic requirement to appear in CUET is that the candidate must have passed class 12th from an acknowledged Board with a minimum aggregate of 50 percent. Certain relaxations are provided to SC / ST, OBC, and PWD categories, and a particular percentage of seats are also reserved for them. Just like Undergraduate programs, PG courses and PHD courses are included and Universities shall be taking admission based on the CUET scorecard.
